I've been feeling it! The first, barest whispers of Spring! The air is moist and alive. The temperatures more...well.....temperate, while the heart leaps inside the chest and does a spring shiver. A person feels younger somehow; more liable to do foolish things. Perhaps wear pink....

or a get-up like that. I find myself staring hard at bushes, trying to find the little green nubs of buds poking off the brown sticks winter left behind. The backyard, when viewed from the carport, does not look as desolate- there's a softness to the beginnings of green lawn again, a wholeness to the picture of tall, green pine and the coloring of the grass. Oh! and on Thursday while standing outside at work for a smoke, I saw my first BEE!

He was plump and healthy, and walking on the concrete like it was the middle of summer-- and he-- King of the World. Don't you love their fuzzy stripes?? Those bees really know how to dress to call attention to themselves; even without the heralding 'buzzzzzzzzz', the eye latches onto that smart look of black and yellow stripe. Our little flower spreaders have begun to appear, and yes, that made me very happy. I hate summer, but spring is gorgeous!
Time to shake the kinks out. Time to crawl out of the boxes cold packs us in

.....time to just LEAP and FLOAT and swim out of our winter comas, and into a bursting world of forsythia and hyacinths

get caught up in the perfume of it all, and just 'bee free'! Easter is coming. And I have a grandson or granddaughter making an entrance in just two weeks or so (number FOUR!) and life- oh my goodness, life goes on, goes green and leaping. Time to shake a leg- and dance!

Here's something fun....(yes, I've not been as 'present' in here as usual. I've been tweaking my old computer system in all kinds of ways. To me....THAT'S fun!...LOL) Not that this will make a whole heck of a lot of sense to either you 'true geeks' out there- or anyone who has the latest, fastest- but I've found a solution to not allowing ANY temporary files, images, history, EVER to be kept in my Windows 98 Second Edition system. (And I deep-sixed the Internet Explorer 5, which is a notorious version for grabbing and holding everything, by prohibiting all the embedded functions and basically telling my system to overlook it when loading. I also sewed together the sticky fingers of AOL as well- (AO-'HELL')- of which I had no choice but to be dragged into when my ISP Compuserve was bought out by the bastards a few years back. What'd I do? I uninstalled it. Only load the older version and I shut down exclusively with 'control-alt-delete' because AOL latches itself onto the old program by loading their toxic files at SHUT DOWN...if you 'x- out' like a nice dummy and let it happen as it tells you to, i.e.- 'be patient. System is updating....'- F*ck that!
Needless to say, there are 'OLD' versions of everything in my system- and faster, better- and at no additional cost. "Dial-up" is damn near as speedy as the Lan and Windows XP crap at work, with all its useless needless spying and bric-a-brac.
Now that I've completely put you into snooze mode, allow me to make up for it by giving you this wonderful new twist on the good old game of

TIC TAC TOE!!! But this one is a combination of the favorite scratch-pad game, and Trivial Pursuits! Click on it an try! It's terrific diversion.
As to the upcoming Easter holiday- I'm taking Friday off as my own idea of a big chocolate bunny. Annnnnnnnnnnd......I'm staying put on the day itself. Family fuss just got to me this year. (Maybe for all years, all holidays.) Moratorium here on holiday observance. Just tired of obigatory appearances- and ones that inconvenience others or make their own days a bit more complicated with one more to seat.
I will, however......

be wearing my hat- and dressed to the nines. Happy whatever-it-is, guys. For me, it's happy solitude.
